I grew up in St. Charles, Kentucky and went to South Hopkins High School. I graduated from SHHS in 1989 and came to Madisonville Community College. At MCC, I completed my Associates in Applied Science with an emphasis in Office Systems. I graduated from MCC in 1991. I then transferred to Murray State University and began working towards a degree in education. I received my Bachelor of Sciencedegree in 1994. After my education was complete, I married my husband, Wade Simons. We now have two beautiful children, Shelby Lee (9) and Brandon Ross (5).
