Curriculum revision and creation is defined by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools as a faculty driven process. Madisonville Community College's local Curriculum Review Committee (CRC) is responsible for reviewing new and revised curricula created throughout the KCTCS. The local committee members represent divisional needs associated with the creation and revision of curricula. The chair of the local CRC represents the school’s position on these materials. Presently there are 2 meetings held locally prior to the scheduled system wide meetings. One is for peer review of proposals, and the later is for concern about the content or ramification of the proposals. The first meeting is usually conducted via e-mail; the second is a formal, face to face meeting.
